Mécanitec and Excelpro announces the creation of the co-venture MecXel, dedicated to modular industrial manufacturing
Excelpro adds a modular manufacturing plant
Mécanitec and Excelpro announced today the creation of MecXel, a new entity specializing in industrial modular manufacturing, born from the combination of their complementary expertise. This strategic partnership aims to meet the fast-growing demand in Quebec and North America for integrated, high-performance, and flexible industrial solutions.
In its first year of operation, MecXel will have a minimum production capacity of 100 units per year, enabling a significant increase in modular assembly capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and reducing delivery times for clients.
This development project will create at least 30 new jobs over the next year, thereby actively contributing to the economic vitality and industrial development of the Trois-Rivières region.
A Strategic Alliance Driving Industrial Growth
MecXel is born from the combination of two recognized areas of expertise:
- Mécanitec’s manufacturing expertise, firmly established in the heavy industrial sector
- Excelpro’s expertise in electrical integration and automation essential for modern modular projects
This agreement enable us to offer clients turnkey solutions that combine robust manufacturing, technological performance, and the ability to adapt to the specific needs of each project.
A project that complements existing activities
Mécanitec and Excelpro remain two separate companies.
The creation of MecXel is based on a complementary approach that emphasizes collaboration among teams and the leveraging of expertise to support the development of new, high-value-added projects.
A long-term vision to support upcoming strong demand
To support MecXel’s anticipated growth and meet rapidly expanding future demand, the partners are planning, in the medium term, a major project to build a new 50,000- to 60,000-square-foot modular manufacturing plant.
This project is expected to enable increased production volumes and consolidate Trois-Rivières’ position as a strategic and innovative manufacturing hub.
