Application Analyst

Tasks

RESPONSABILITIES

As an Application Analyst, your main mandate will be to support the sales effort by coordinating the various stakeholders required during a project, in order to develop and evaluate solutions that meet customer needs.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist the Automation sales team in the qualification of projects;
  • Participate in meetings of the Automation sales and prospective development team;
  • Participate in meetings with clients in order to understand their needs and offer them practical and advantageous solutions;
  • Read and interpret specification requirements;
  • Determine technical support needs for the development of submissions;
  • Participate in selection meetings, development, cost evaluation and the drafting of the functional description of the solution;
  • Develop and write the quote;
  • Prepare presentations, contribute to proposals and various sales tools for the tangible development of business opportunities;
  • Answer customer calls and questions;
  • Develop good relationships with customers and suppliers during the bidding process;
  • Stay up to date with market trends with our suppliers;
  • Communicate clearly with our customers and suppliers;
  • Manage different opportunities simultaneously by coordinating different parts;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a college diploma in industrial automation, a bachelor's degree in automated production or any other relevant training.
  • 3 to 5 years in a position in automated solutions (estimating and/or project management and/or implementation);
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (asset).
  • Excellent writing and synthesis skills;
  • Excellent project accounting skills;
  • Read and understand electrical control diagrams and power;
  • Read and understand process diagrams (P&ID);
  • Be billingual in French and English, spoken and written to communicate with our partners outside Quebec;
  • Be able to work with the Office suite;
  • Be able to work with an ERP and a CRM software (asset);
  • Have a valid driver's license (asset).
